Bollywood returns with a sizzling chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, If you’ve watched the latest rom-coms, chances are Shraddha*’s killer physique has caught your attention. Be it her razor-sharp waistline, or toned bikini body, Shraddha*’s looks have redefined beauty fitness and enhanced her aura on screen.
It is no wonder that Bollywood celebrities sweat it out and undergo intense workouts to achieve the desired look. However, what makes the transition easier is the constant support and guidance of their fitness trainers. Sports nutritionist and celebrity trainer Mahek Nair is one such dedicated trainer who brought Shraddha*’s sizzling physique to life in her latest Bollywood flick.
Based in Mumbai, Mahek has been training with Shraddha for over a decade. When she came on board as a transformation coach for the role of Shraddha*, Luv Ranjan Informed her to develop a body that was “hot and toned” and at the same time “not too ripped”. To develop this, Mahek prepared a diet plan in two phases to get the final shape.
Phase 1 of the diet plan had to be adapted to make up for her legs for dancing sequences as well as wearing short clothes. Mahek focused on training his lower body and devised a diet plan that included moderate carbs, proteins and fats. The meal included tofu steak, sprouts salad, sprout tikki, gluten-free pasta, quinoa and vegetables. Along with this, fluids are supplied for amino acids and electrolytes. Since Shraddha prefers to eat vegetarian food, meat was not an option.
Mahek revealed, “Phase 2 was all about the deep lean look where the stomach had to be slimmed down with less retention on the face.” Hence, the diet was strict which included 14 hours of intermittent fasting. All her meals were pre-planned in which Mahek coordinated with the chef. Those meals included leafy salads, vegetable soups, falafel, chickpeas, chia seeds, acai and blueberry smoothie bowls to create a high-protein and low-carb diet.

Shraddha also took a lot of vitamins. To monitor the diet, Mahek accompanied her to various shoot locations and worked closely with the actress. “Shraddha has set herself up to follow a healthy lifestyle. She does not consume processed foods and is very particular about what she feeds her body.”
Talking about physical training, Mahek revealed that he focused his training on getting Shraddha*’s glutes and abs to look sharp. He swears by the miraculous effects of functional body training, i.e. Pilates which gives flexibility and strength to the muscles. The workout plan for Shraddha was a balanced mix of compound movements and endurance training which included running and TRX.
“The result was a body that’s lean, fast and warm,” Mahek said. Along with Shraddha, he has also trained other celebs. Aditya Roy Kapoor For Fitoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Asha Negi, Remo D’Souza, Manish Paul. Mahek reveals the basic mantra behind her diet plan: “When you have a low body fat percentage, you have a slim body with a slim waistline.”
