From being obese to having a six pack body, the journey of Jr NTR’s physical transformation

Junior NTR is one of the biggest superstars of South Cinema. Coming from a prestigious film background, Nandamuri always had a big plus as his grandfather and father NT Rama Rao and Harikrishna were the biggest superstars. But we all know that not every star kid makes it big, but Jr NTR had the magic and aura as an actor to draw huge crowds to the screen and make them fans.

Jr NTR started his career as a child artist and won a National Award at such a young age. He worked as a child artist in works such as Brahmarshi Vishwamitra (1991), and Ramayanam (1997). Later, in 2001, Taarak made his debut as a lead actor with Ninnu Chudalani, directed by VK Pratap, and rose to prominence for his performance in SS Rajamouli’s Student No. 1. and dance. Aadhi, Simhadri, Adhrusa and Adi are some of his best works.

Jr NTR trolled and embarrassed

However, seven years after his debut, Jr NTR decided to shed some weight for his film Yamadonga directed by SS Rajamouli. It was rumored that he went under the knife in order to lose extra pounds. As per reports, the actor had undergone liposuction to lose weight for his film Yama Donga. Thereafter NTR completely transformed himself to become one of the fittest actors in the Telugu film industry. In 2012, though his film Shakti failed at the box office, the actor was highly praised for his physical transformation. He looked fit and fab as never before.

While he maintained a good physique for a few years, 2014 was a turning point as there was a physical transformation and six pack body for the first time. He was looking super hot. The actor again impressed with his makeover for the 2016 film Nannaku Prematho. NTR sported a new look with matted hair and a long beard for the film, which received positive reviews from critics and audiences. After this there was no looking back. He went on to become one of the fittest actors of Tollywood.

Preparations made for Komaram Bheem in RRR

After Jai Luv Kush, Jr NTR lost 18 kilos in a span of 5 months to prepare for the next film. He continued his fitness training under celebrity fitness trainer Lloyd Stevens for SS Rajamouli’s RRR, where he played the role of revolutionary leader Komaram Bheem.

To prepare for his role in RRR, the star always used to go for marathon jogging. Rajamouli is said to have run through the Bulgarian jungle for the famous lion sequence. He never missed a sweat and his gym routine consisted of three hours of cardio and weight training. The actor was high-protein as he didn’t need any bulk and only looked ripped.

This was followed by a blockbuster performance as Komaram Bheem in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which also won an Oscar. All eyes are on their next. He teams up with Courtala Siva for his next NTR30 and fans are eager to see what they have in store. Expectations are skyrocketing.

The actor’s journey from ‘fat to fit’ and even from being called ugly and fat to becoming the fittest actor. The then and now transformation of Jr NTR is inspirational and commendable in every way.
